Seniors! We have a few important dates coming up soon!
If you were not at the Josten’s meeting during ELO on Tuesday, you will need to get your order packet for your cap and gown. You can pick one up in the Attendance Office, Counseling Office, or from your Class Sponsor Mrs. Cullins.
See the attached PDF for important upcoming dates (highlighted).
Also, remember that you should be applying for colleges and scholarships. Be sure to send in your resumes to Mrs. Burger, either by bringing them to the Counseling Office or emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you haven't already gotten your transcript release signed, come into the Counseling Office and get one from Mrs. Williams. Keep in mind that if you are under 18, one of your parents/guardians will have to sign the form for you first.
College visits are strongly encouraged, and you are given two days to do so. Have your parents contact the College Admissions Office at the colleges of your choice, or visit with Mrs. Burger to make arrangements. Following the visit, students are asked to have a conference with Mrs. Burger regarding questions or assistance needed.
Congratulations to Jetta Greene and Dalton Peters!
They have been selected by the staff as Central's 2016 Wendy's High School Heisman Nominees.
They are State Finalists for the two awards worth $500 to the National Winners.
For more information on the program, visit their website at https://www.wendyshighschoolheisman.com/.

For more information about scholarships go to Salina Central’s web page and click on the Counselors tab. On the left hand side is another link that says Scholarships and Financial Aid. That will take you to a list of scholarship opportunities that we are aware of. Of course, there are many more perhaps through your church, place of work, organizations, etc.

Mrs. Burger, Counselor of Seniors 2016
Many of you have inquired about scholarship opportunities. We have a few already this school year that are posted on the Counseling webpage. Please go to Salina Central’s webpage, click on the Counselor tab along the top and then on the left side of the screen you will see the word Scholarships and Financial Aid. Our practice is that if we know about a scholarship we are going to post it here and let students know through announcements. You will also see brief scholarship descriptions of scholarships that have been available in the past but perhaps we haven’t heard from that organization this year. We still leave that information on this page so that you can inquire.

College Visit Days: Seniors may have two days away from Salina Central to make college/post high visits. We want you to do this so that your student is comfortable with their post-high choice.
