Deidre Hoff's AP US History classes watched the movie "Forrest Gump" to gain an understanding of the time period 1950s - 1980s. The students then researched a topic of their choice relating to the movie or time period.

The Central High School newspaper - Pylon - was selected by the Kansas Scholastic Press Association as an All-Kansas Newspaper. Only 19 papers in Kansas received this award.
