Growing Greatness Award
The Growing Greatness Award honors employees who keep our schools running smoothly, are often the first point of contact for parents and visitors and those who work behind the scenes to keep school facilities sanitary and secure.
Cristal De La Torre Falcon
Cristal is a Paraeducator at Cottonwood Elementary School. Cristal’s calming and steadying presence is an important influence on her students, who know how deeply she cares about them. Her positive attitude is admired by her colleagues and she is a key part of the supportive culture at Cottonwood. We are proud to recognize Cristal’s contributions that support an excellent learning environment.
Darren Bock
As a building mechanic at Central High School, Darren has a reputation for being able to fix anything! He was recognized with the December Growing Greatness award that honors school workers who play an important role in creating a terrific learning environment for SPS students.
Jeremy Miles
Jeremy is the building operator at Coronado Elementary where he plays an impactful role and is always ready to lend a helping hand. He builds connections with students and teaches life skills that support their success. He has worked with students as a staff volunteer “Starfish” (where an adult at school, other than the child’s primary teacher, connects with them.) Jeremy takes pride in maintaining Coronado’s appearance and keeps it looking phenomenal. His dedication makes a significant difference for every student at Coronado.
