Karla Lukavsky, Roving Teacher

Abbi Dougherty, Public Information Specialist

District Office

Abbi worked closely with Heusner leadership to create posters that embody the school’s vision, mission and guiding principles. She elevated the project by lending her creativity, incorporating brand colors and collaborating through the process. Thank you for making a difference, Abbi!

Darcy Brown, Facility Manager

South High School

In early January, Darcy Brown witnessed a contractor, who was working at South High, become accidentally buried alive. Darcy’s quick and calm actions were instrumental in the search and rescue response and saving a life. He worked closely with emergency responders, the City of Salina and department personnel to make the scene safe for the rescuers and the victim. Darcy’s actions demonstrate his admirable virtue and reflect the highest ideals of the maintenance and operations department. Thank you Darcy, for making a difference!
