She invited board members to visit schools on the first two days of school, August 11 and 12. As of August 9, 95 percent (6,621) of Salina Public Schools students were enrolled. Students continue to enroll during the first two weeks of school. Superintendent Exline thanked Eryn Wright, executive director of human resources/legal services, and Jeff Hayes, executive director of the Central Kansas Cooperative in Education, on their work and efforts securing staff. She reported that she hosted new teachers on a tour of Salina and that she met with Salina Area United Way (SAUW), a source of vital services for the families we serve, as the SAUW returns to funded partners.
