Mentoring Program

Salina Mentoring Program:
The Salina Mentoring Program is an approved two-year mentorship program that meets the teacher licensure requirements from KSDE. All new teachers on an initial license are required to have a mentor for two years in order to apply for a professional license. Our structured program is dedicated to developing exemplary teachers through guidance, professional support, and leadership. We strive to strengthen professional growth and retention through personal connections and interactions with colleagues at the district and building levels.

Year 1 and Year 2 Mentor Program Information

Salina Ambassador Program:
The goal of the Salina Ambassador Program is to fully integrate experienced teachers new to USD 305 into the community and culture of our district.  We embrace the need to assist experienced teachers new to our district in procedures, curriculum, and professional learning as a top priority for job satisfaction and retention. Each experienced new teacher will be assigned an ambassador who will acclimate them to their building and district and will serve as their “go-to” person.
