Middle School Summer School Program

Who

Only current Salina Public Schools students completing grades 6th - 8th are eligible for Middle School Summer School enrollment.


What

Sessions will include specific focus in math and reading skills as well as lessons for developing students' intrapersonal and interpersonal abilities, such as self-awareness, social awareness, problem solving, and decision making.

Transportation is available and students will be served lunch from 11:00 a.m. - 11:20 a.m. before leaving for the day.


When

May 30 - June 30, Monday - Friday,  8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., NO SCHOOL June 19


Where

South High School, 730 E. Magnolia


How

Students will be recommended for the program by staff in their building.

High School Summer Enrichment Program


Who

Only current Salina Public Schools students entering 9th - 12th grade in the fall are eligible for High School Enrichment courses.

Individual driving with an instructor continues through June 30.

High School Summer School Program


Who

Only current Salina Public Schools students entering grades 9th -12th are eligible for High School Summer School offerings.


What

Salina Public Schools will offer enrichment courses AND a credit recovery opportunity for students entering grades 

10th - 12th who failed a course during the regular school year. All credit recovery courses will be offered through computer-

assisted instruction. Students are required to attend each day of the session. A morning and afternoon block allows for enrollment

in two courses. If students accelerate through these courses, additional courses could be added as needed.

Breakfast and lunch are available on site.
