Painted Garden Flowers

Ages 5-10 

Wednesday, March 11 @2pm

Registration Required 

Kids in grades K-3rd will make a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork to take home and display in an outdoor garden or flower pot. We will enjoy a treat at the end while our projects dry.

Tye Dye Bookmarks

Ages 5-11

Join us as we make eye catching tie dye bookmarks.


Sphero Robot Races

Ages 10-12 and 13-17

Tuesday, March 10 @ 9:45am and 4:30pm 

Registration Required

Race the robot!  Be innovative and creative in completing a variety of obstacle courses. \

Class size is limited to 8 due to available equipment.

Follow clues posted or hidden in the room, sidestep red herrings, and work together to beat the clock. Breakout EDU is an excellent tool for participants to practice collaboration, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving. 

3D Pens

Ages 8-12

Thursday, March 12 @10:15am and 2:00pm

Registration Required

Lift your imagination off the page with the 3D Doodler 3D Pen.  Participants will create fun objects to take home. 

Minecraft Minigames

Ages 12-17

Thursday, March 12 @ 4:00pm

Join in the fun of some classic Minecraft Minigames! From spleef to bed wars, there is a little bit of something for every kind of Minecrafter.

Spring Break Stay ‘n Play

Ages 10-17

Friday, March 13 @ 2:00pm

Registration Required

Come play all afternoon in the Tech Center!  Snacks will be provided.

We will have a variety of gaming available.   Minecraft will be running in the classroom, Roblox on the Internet PCs, Virtual Reality for those 12 and older, PS4, Switch, and board games will be available as well. 

The Tech Center will open only for youth & teens during the 2-5 p.m. time period.



 Smoky Hill Museum

Spend some quality at the Smoky Hill Museum where the fun is always FREE!


What can you do at the Museum?? How about:

-Try your hand at a safe cracking challenge

-Create a design on our huge light board

-Play pinball

-Make electricity

-Play with toys from the 1950s

-Create a TV show and see yourself on the monitor

-Get windblown in our tornado simulator

-Explore a dugout

-Climb inside a teepee

-Record your own radio commercial or program

-Build a house to withstand the Kansas wind

-Make your own tornado

-Try one of our fun scavenger hunts

-There’s tons to do at the Smoky Hill Museum


And it’s all FREE. No registration required.

SculptureTour Salina

SculptureTour Salina is truly created for the enjoyment of all ages, it's the perfect family or group outing.

·         Sculptures on loan from artists throughout the country

       are on display.

·         Brochures with maps of all sculpture locations are

      available at downtown businesses and merchants.

·         Walk to each sculpture and choose your favorite!

o   How does each piece make you feel when you see it?

o   What aspects of the works reflect either the place or people of Salina?

o   If you were to create a piece of public art for Salina, what would it be? Where would you put it? Why?

·         This free outdoor activity does not require registration.
