Get Ready to Vote! Nov. 5 Election to Decide Four BOE Members

Are you ready for November 5, general election day? Your vote is important, Salina citizens will be electing four school board members and three city commissioners.

Actions to take:

  • Make sure you are registered to vote, re-register if you have moved and consider requesting a ballot by mail (Convenient – you can vote from home!). You can do all of that at this link.
  • Next? Learn about the candidates’ positions** on the issues that are important to you. Review voting records, campaign literature, websites and personal conversations or e-mails to decide which candidates best match your views.
  • On or before Tuesday, November 5:  Cast Your Vote!
    • In person, advance voting begins Monday, October 21 and ends Monday, November 4 at noon.
    • The last day to apply for an advance ballot by mail is Tuesday, October 29 and that ballot must be postmarked on or before November 5.
    • General election day is Tuesday, November 5 with polls open 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

The Salina Area Chamber of Commerce and League of Women Voters will sponsor a Candidates Forum for USD 305 School Board and Salina City Commission candidates on Thursday, October 24, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Visit Salina Annex at 120 W. Ash. (The first session, 6:00 – 7:25 p.m., features candidates for the Board of Education.)
