Preschoolers Enjoy Dine with Dinos

Do you know how many people will fit into a dinosaur footprint? Preschoolers tested it out along with other fun learning activities at Dine with Dinos. The activity was paired with the Summer Food Program, combining fun ways to practice skills and enjoy a healthy meal in the summer. Parents and children counted how many dinosaur feet tall they were and walked the length of a string to understand a pterodactyl’s wingspan. The most popular activity were the archaeological digs, where children dug for dinosaurs in the sand. Everyone enjoyed playing and learning together at Dine with Dinos! The event was sponsored by Salina Public Schools, where hands-on, project-based learning is at every elementary school.
