She reported that summer school had a successful start and credited strong leadership and teachers who care about students. Superintendent Exline reported that the summer food program is running and that the end-of-the-year retreat with district administrators included a 90-minute presentation about Visible Learning. Administrators also reviewed parent and family belonging data during their meeting and noted an increase in the number of families that feel they are a valuable part of the school community. Superintendent Exline informed the board that she will be at a Conscious Discipline conference next week.
