Salina Public Schools (SPS) is proud to celebrate Heartland Early Education’s Parents as Teachers program for earning a Blue Ribbon Affiliate Award. This national recognition is awarded to organizations that provide high quality, evidence-based home visiting services and demonstrate exceptional fidelity within the Parents as Teachers International Network.

To achieve this status, Heartland completed the in-depth Quality Endorsement and Improvement Process (QEIP), which identifies programs that meet or exceed national benchmarks for excellence and ensures families receive high quality guidance and educational resources.

The Parents as Teachers program works with families with children from birth to kindergarten through personalized home visits, group connections, child screenings and referrals to community resources. The program equips parents with the knowledge, support, tools and confidence to help their children grow, learn and thrive, building a strong foundation for lifelong success.

Earning a Blue Ribbon Affiliate Award places Heartland among exemplary programs nationwide that consistently deliver outstanding services to children and families. It reflects the dedication, expertise and commitment of the Heartland staff, whose work expands high quality early childhood opportunities and supports healthy, safe and engaged learning every day within our community.
