Powerful Exhibit Shares Personal Testimonies & Adult Ed. Support

On Friday, January 16, the Salina Adult Education Center (SAEC) celebrated 45 years of service in the Salina community and the 10-year anniversary of the Partners 4 Success program. The celebration spotlighted the incredible impact SAEC has within our community and across the state of Kansas as well as showcased a powerful photography art exhibit now on display at the Salina Arts Center.

The art exhibit features 56 pieces of photography that share testimony from SAEC students, graduates, staff and community stakeholders. The exhibit even features Crenshaw, the SAEC service dog.

This photography series is part of A Peace of My Mind, a multimedia art project by photographer John Noltner that uses portraits and personal stories to bridge divides and build community. This series reflects the possibility of second chances and the journeys taken toward a better future while highlighting resilience, encouragement, the idea that something better is possible and the importance of adult education. The exhibit will be on display at the Salina Arts Center through February 8.

The celebration also included remarks from Salina Public Schools Superintendent Heath Hogan, Kelly Mobray, director of adult education at SAEC and Susanna Lee from the Kansas Board of Regents.

Salina Public Schools is proud to support SAEC and its promise to provide knowledge, tools and support through education that builds economic stability for self, family and community.

Congratulations to SAEC and Partners 4 Success on their tremendous milestones of service. For more information about SAEC and the Partners 4 Success program, visit the SAEC website here: 305adulteducation.com
