January marks School Board Recognition Month, giving us the chance to highlight our board members and say thank you!

Our school board members are President Gabe Grant, Vice President Scott Gardner, Dana Kossow, Paul Gebhardt, Ann Zimmerman, Amy Freelove and Dana Johnson.

SPS board members volunteer countless hours studying issues, participating in meetings, attending school activities and events and advocating for our students and public education at the local, state and national levels. Our board helps shape the future of our students by establishing a vision for our schools, providing guidance and direction to achieve that vision and ensuring our schools remain accountable to the community. Through their leadership, they help prepare today’s students for success.

Please also join us in recognizing and thanking former SPS board members Bonnie Schamberger and Jim Fletcher for their service. SPS is grateful for Bonnie and Jim’s time, thoughtful leadership and commitment to our schools, students and community.
